NIS Update: May 2017 special

In a week where industrial action over changes to a pension scheme prevented an emergency planning exercise at AWE, we are releasing research which shows that the profits made by the consortium which owns AWE Management Ltd. are almost twice the size of the deficit in their pension scheme. The factsheet also shows how spending by the Ministry of Defence on AWE has risen over the years.

 

AWE consortium profits are almost double the size of their pension deficit

As strikes at AWE prevented an emergency planning exercise from going ahead, NIS release research on the finances of AWE Management Ltd., showing how profits retained by the consortium over the lifetime of their contract are almost double the claimed size of the pension deficit. Read More.
