NIS at Labour Party Conference

'National Security and Nuclear Weapons - Risks and Opportunities for Labour'
Wednesday 26th September, Labour Party Conference, Room 13 ACC Liverpool 08:00

If you are in Liverpool for the Labour Party Conference this week we will be pleased to see you at our breakfast fringe session on the last day of Conference.

We join with Rethinking Security and BASIC (British American Security Information Council) for a session on 'National Security and Nuclear Weapons - Risks and Opportunities for Labour'.

Speakers David Cullen, Celia McKeon and Paul Ingram will be discussing the risks and opportunities a future Labour government would face in its approach to national security and nuclear weapons policy. And we'll be asking what could the UK be doing to reduce nuclear risks? We will also discuss emerging problems in the UK nuclear weapons programme and consider how the UK can best use its influence to calm the current international situation. The session will be chaired by Dr Tim Street.
