In July 2007 NIS submitted a series of requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act asking for action plans and post-exercise review documents relating to any emergency exercise held in 2006/2007 for AWE Aldermaston or AWE Burghfield.
In response to this request, eight documents were released by the Health and Safety Executive’s Nuclear Directorate. This report summarises the documents and draws conclusions on the adequacy of emergency arrangements at AWE sites.
