Reading Post article: Fears over AWE’s buried workshops

Interestingly, neither AWE nor the NII take the opportunity in their comments to the Reading Post, to refute the concerns of the NIS Report. There is no explanation of the failure to deliver a design plan, despite NII's urgent requests for one and consensus that safety standards need to be improved. We all agree that the old facilities are being patched up because they are not safe enough. The NII is unlikely to close the facility, leaving nowhere for warheads to be dissembled in an emergency.
