In response to FOI request by Rob Evans, Defence Procurement Agency provided AWE’s response to the MoD question regarding waste streams and treatment routes. Types of waste include radioactive liquid effluent, toxic waste, tritiated organic liquids, solid radioactive waste and mercury. Treatment is mostly done in A12N and F26.4 plant etc. Waste end up in River Thames, incineration or storage at Drigg. No disposal route for mercury.
