In response to FOI request by Rob Evans, the Defence Procurement Agency provided an overview of AWE Aldermaston C16/C15 Facility housing HELEN Laser and Support Laboratories, prepared by Radiation Physics Department for Term Contract Bid Teams. The HELEN Laser is required to support the Warhead Plasma Physics Programme, which is tasked with determining material properties and physical processes under conditions resembling a nuclear explosion. The document contain the facility layout and the laser schematic.
